If we as womxn of color want to change any of the laws and policies holding us back from creating the change we need in order to truly exist on a level playing field, then we need to take action (and not on Twitter) and elect people into office who genuinely care about creating a better future for us.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Founded in 1909 the NAACP is a civil right organization. The mission of the NAACP is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.
American Association of University Women
The AAUW promotes equality and education for womxn and girls. One way they fight for the success of womxn is through their Work Smart program which is a free online course that trains women to successfully negotiate for salary and benefits. This is part of the AAUW's mission to closing the gender wage gap: In addition to stronger laws and better workplace policies, they believe teaching women to negotiate will help chip away at the gender wage gap.
